Privacy.
Short version: we only ask for the information we need to take a booking and answer your questions, we don't sell or share it with anyone outside the booking flow, and you can email us at any time to ask what we hold or to have it deleted.
What we collect
- When you make a booking inquiry — your name, email, phone number, the dates you're asking about, the number of guests, and any message you send. We pass this to OwnerRez (our booking system) so we can quote and confirm a stay.
- When you chat with us on the site — your messages, plus a short anonymous session id we use to keep your conversation together across page loads. Transcripts are kept while a booking is being arranged and then deleted. If the AI hands off to John & Onticha, the transcript goes to them by email.
- When you browse the site — basic analytics (page views, referring URL, country derived from your IP). We don't use a third-party advertising tracker. The currency and language you pick are stored in your browser so we remember them next visit — that's your browser, not our server.
What we do with it
- Quote and confirm bookings (you, us, OwnerRez).
- Send the pre-arrival information you need to actually use the unit (door code, Wi-Fi, directions).
- Answer questions via chat or email.
- Improve the site — which pages people find, where things confuse them. Aggregate only; never tied to your name or email.
What we do NOT do with it
- Sell your data.
- Share it with anyone outside the booking chain (you, us, OwnerRez, and — if you pay through their hosted form — our payment processor).
- Use it for marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
- Run third-party ad pixels or tracking scripts.
Third parties we use
- OwnerRez — booking platform. Stores your contact details + reservation. Their privacy policy: ownerrez.com/privacy.
- Cloudflare — hosts the website and provides edge caching + DDoS protection. They see request logs (IPs, timing). Their privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
- Anthropic — powers the AI chat assistant. Your chat messages are sent to their API to generate a reply. Their privacy policy: anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
- Resend — sends the host notification + guest confirmation emails. Their privacy policy: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
